Prevention of Injury Education
Fast Lane Swimming is proud to announce
the addition of the "Prevention of Injury
Training Topic" for the Fast Lane
Swimmers. This educational program will
be headed up by Andrea Cook (MS, ATC,
CSC) who is the Head Athletic Training at
Baldwin-Wallace College.

Andrea is a native of Cleveland, Ohio
where she attended Baldwin-Wallace
College and received her B.A. in Athletic
Training with a Business Administration
minor.   Andrea continued her education at
Georgia State University where she
successfully completed her M.S. in Sports
Medicine.  She was recruited to return to her undergrad where she
became the Associate Athletic Trainer.  Three years later Andrea was
encouraged to accept the role as the Head Athletic Trainer at Baldwin-
Wallace College.  Andrea has held this position for the past 5 years
and she is focused on strengthening athletes, as well as preventing,
treating, and rehabilitating injuries.  Andrea is also committed to being
a role model for staff and students aspiring to enter into the sports
medicine and strength and conditioning field.  Andrea is an active
member of both the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and the
National Strength and Conditioning Association.  The combination of
these memberships and certifications give Andrea a great advantage
to help her keep athletes strong and return them safely to the athletic
field.  Andrea enjoys the field of athletic training and strength &
conditioning, and she continues to make a difference with her unique
and diverse background.
