Entering his 26th year as head coach of the Cleveland State men's swimming

honors.

He has compiled a dual meet record of 219-126-1 (.634) with nine Penn-Ohio
Championships, a pair of MCC titles, a Horizon League championship and 22
seasons at .500 or better. Morton has also led the Vikings to five straight
seasons with at least 10 wins, compiling a 54-17 record in that span.
Additionally, the 1996-97 squad tied the 1946-47 team for most victories in a
season in school history with a 14-4 mark. Morton directed the Vikings to
back-to-back Midwestern Collegiate Conference titles in 1998 and 1999,
earning MCC Coach of the Year honors in 1999. He was named Coach of the
Year of the Penn-Ohio Conference six times, including three straight from
1984-1986.

Olympic Trials finalist.

Morton came to CSU in 1974 as the Aquatics Director of the brand-new CSU

Busbey retired, and has brought regional and national prominence to
Cleveland State.

The 1970 Miami (Ohio) graduate was a member of back-to-back Mid-American
Conference champion swim teams in 1966 and '67. Morton and his wife, Carol,
